Will India develop an AI model like Deepseek R1 and OpenAI? How will the Indian government promote it?

So my ten cents is - India has plenty of other things where tax payer money can be spent

China is an extremely innovative nation with a huge independent internet platform and a large middle class population and AI is one way of enhancing productivity in their manufacturing and service oriented economy

India neither has an Independent internet platform nor a powerful manufacturing or service economy , given a very small middle class or rich layer

What does it mean to dream about demons possessing people, and what can be done about this dream that keeps occurring for years?

In both cases, it was the taxpayer who paid for both of these and in both cases, the taxpayer saw no benefit whatsoever

Food, Education, Hospitals, Level Playing access to student knowledge, power generation and a number of other things

Even if you do, do you really need your Government and taxpayer money to promote it ?

How is AI influencing interior design in 2025?

Like all those other things I mentioned, this too is unlikely to go anywhere because there is no natural economic necessity for India to have an AI system today

So why would you want to copy what the States and China are doing, just for a handful of headlines and some publicity ?

Why can't they repair the damage caused by Elon Musk renaming Twitter to X?

It would be sacrilege if your government uses taxpayer money to fund a multimodal AI system rather than spending the money on many of the million issues faced by the average Indians today

Does India really need a Multimodal AI System today?

It cost 750 Million rupees officially but apart from some headlines and some global preening, what were the benefits to the average Indian?

What type of fish is best for fish tacos?

And in a country with starving people, poverty, poor quality of education and hospitals - would it not be insane for a Government to spend taxpayer money on building a Multimodal AI system just for some headlines ?

The States is one of the wealthiest most powerful nations in the world and AI is just an evolution of its technological direction and route

Were any US Generals hurt or killed yesterday in Damascus, Syria, yesterday 5/9/24?

India is neither wealthy nor powerful

How many of them can afford smartphones and AI applications?

Would AI benefit your average citizens?

What do you think of TikTok's internal analysis finding nearly twice as many pro-Trump posts as pro-Biden ones on the platform since November?

Ten years ago , India planned a bullet train across a few hundred kilometres, but nothing further has been accomplished

Would there be a sufficient number to justify profitability for private investors?

Ten years ago , India spent money to send a satellite to Mars but nothing further has been accomplished

How can we get rid of viral fever naturaly?

It cost India a lot of money paid to Japan and a lot of credit but apart from some headlines, has the average Indian received any benefits?

If you do need a Multimodal AI and assuming you have the necessary clientele who can harness a made from scratch Multimodal AI System, it should be your private sector that should be doing the necessary work

If you guys want AI, it must be invested by private technology companies , and unfortunately the only ones you have are not the sort who develop high technology products where AI integration helps
